community outreach

In Kenya, young women face disproportionate risks of gender-based violence, early pregnancy, limited education, and inadequate access to healthcare. We believe every woman deserves the agency to shape her own future — to be safe, healthy, and empowered. Through community outreach programs, we provide scholarships from primary school through college and past graduate education.   We partner with local organizations to create safe spaces where women can gain education, job training, and essential health skills, and contained mentorship. Our mission is to help women reclaim their futures and thrive with dignity and independence.

The Girls' Center

In 2014, Global FICCS founded the Girls’ Center to provide a safe environment for young women to live, learn, and grow. Based in Kariobangi, Kenya, the Center offers health, life skills, and computer training; introductory academic and trades education; and mental health services to a cohort of 20 young women each year. Additionally, Global FICCS has provided over 15 scholarships to participants hoping to pursue careers in nursing, childhood development, and computer science. The success of this program has helped cultivate relationships with other community programs, creating a strong network of social outreach in multiple communities.

Boxgirls'

Boxgirls’ mission is to build safe communities by strengthening young women through education, leadership development, and violence prevention in disadvantaged communities.  Global FICCS works with Boxgirls' to teach basic health skills as well as CPR training to help empower participants to be health advocates in their communities. Global FICCS also provides scholarships for young women involved in Boxgirls' who are interested in pursuing a career in health care and other related fields so they can complete higher-level education.

Hawker's Market

Hawker’s Market is an empowerment program for young women who face economic hardship, providing skills training in sewing, cooking, and computer proficiency. Global FICCS provides basic healthcare skills, including CPR to participants in addition to providing scholarships for graduates of the Hawer’s Market program who qualify for advanced-level education in health care or a related field.

Magadi, Maasai, Shompole Ranch, Kajiado District

Global FICCS was introduced to this community after a devastating drought and community crisis in 2009. We provided food, mosquito nets, and medical supplies and expanded to fully support the Oloika primary school in 2017. Each year, we provide tuition for 15 young women to attend primary school along with scholarships for higher-level education for two women.

Old Irving Park Clinic

For many years, Global FICCS has partnered with this clinic in the Irving Park neighborhood of Chicago that serves individuals and families who are uninsured. In addition to training the clinic staff in first aid, CPR, and ACLS, we provide monthly free cardiac consultation and testing services.

Scholarships

In Kenya, FICCS is investing in the next generation of female healthcare leaders through our dedicated Scholarship Program. This initiative supports bright, passionate young women who dream of becoming nurses, doctors, or first responders — but face financial barriers to education. Rooted in our vision to Educate. Elevate. Empower., we provide full scholarships, mentorship, and long-term support to help these young women rise and lead. So far, over 70 students have been fully sponsored through this program. Your contribution can help change a life — and strengthen healthcare systems from the ground up.
