Equipping Educators to Save Lives: FICCS Trains Staff at Nairobi Waldorf School Trust

In its continued commitment to community-based emergency preparedness, the Foundation for International Cardiac and Community Services (FICCS) recently conducted a comprehensive Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and First Aid training for staff members at Nairobi Waldorf School Trust.

The session was tailored for school settings, ensuring that teachers, administrators, and support staff were prepared to respond calmly and confidently in times of crisis. The training emphasized practical readiness, fast response, and team coordination in real-life situations that could arise on campus.

“It’s one thing to care for children, it’s another to know what to do in a moment that could save their life,” shared one participant.

The experience was dynamic and hands-on, offering an opportunity for staff to build both individual skill and collective confidence. Beyond certification, the training fostered a deeper sense of responsibility and preparedness within the school community.

By extending its reach to educational institutions like Nairobi Waldorf School Trust, FICCS continues to build safer spaces, not just in hospitals, but in classrooms, offices, and everyday life.
